My super impromptu trip to Bangkok with Audrey! It was just one day before when she texted me and asked if I can go on a trip with her to Bangkok. To everyone’s surprise (including myself), I was able to! Omg that feeling was definitely over the moon! If you are a Mom, you will know what I mean. 😉 This was impossible without my supportive mother and hubby. ❤
Beautiful Hotel
My first impression of Oriental Residence when I arrived was so warm, clean and classy. Audrey and I were greeted with a warm welcome by the doormen and we were directed to the reception on the right of the hotel lobby.
The check in process was fast and because we arrived late, we had to request to postpone our high tea at Cafe Claire. All done swift and smooth!
Checking into our room! 🙌🏻 We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite park view with a spacious living area, open concept kitchen with proper dining area, a work desk and there was a balcony with a great view of the greenery.

Cafe Claire
Located at level 1, directly opposite the hotel reception.
Their Voyage a Paris Afternoon Tea Set was not just a beautiful tower of French desserts. They were delicious! If I had to choose, my favourite was definitely the fruit tart. The crust was moist, the crème pâtissière was not too sweet and I love the freshness of the fruits.
We were given the option to have either coffee or TWG tea to go along with our sweet course. Their service was definitely top notch and their staff were very attentive too.
This Tea Set is available at Cafe Claire from now until 31st December 2018.

There are a few must-go places for me each time I travel to Bangkok.
- Erawan Shrine
- Platinum Mall
- Siam
We took a cab from Oriental Residence to Erawan Shrine which costed less than 40baht. Traffic was smooth and the ride is less than 5mins.
We walked to Siam area from Erawan Shrine and it took us 10 minutes. Based on Google Maps, taking a cab from the hotel to Siam Square is about 15 minutes and from hotel to Platinum Fashion Mall is about 12 minutes.
Hotel Facilites
The pool and the gym are both located on the 4th floor of the hotel.
Conclusion
I have been to Bangkok countless times and this was definitely one of my best stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Thank you Oriental Residence Bangkok for your awesome hospitality. 👍🏻
